Student Responsibility of Drinking
Students themselves are fully responsible for how much alcohol they drink. If you are ever in an uncomfortable situation where you think you can not handle then you leave, its simple. When you reach college most students are around 18 and legal your an adult. Adults know their limits on alcohol and control themselves. Alcohol is a part of many peoples lives and you have to know how to socially drink and not get destroyed. Everyone has nights that they drink a little too much but the people that die from it take it to a whole new level. Enjoy your nights out and make new friends don;t make it a goal to get hammered and not remember the night. To prevent drinking deaths you just have to be aware and sometimes you have to be a good person and help someone. If someone is making a fool of themselves due to be drunk then you tell their friends that they need to take that person home and they are done. If they are truly your friends then they will take you home and they will not even need to be told. Sometimes that person at a party lost their friends so you might have to step up and walk them home. Everyone should look out for one another in any situation I feel and especially when there is drinking involved.

Drinking is an experience that you will ironically experience in college, if you want to. Most students go to college after their senior year of high school. With most of the students being 18 years of age up to roughly the age of 21 or 22, a portion of these students didn't get to experience alcohol before college. Some parents are very protective of their kids while they are living underneath their roof. For these students that are now on their own at college need to have their first time experience with alcohol and without some experienced friends along their side, they may experiment with it wrong. In the end young adults need to learn and college is a great place for that but don't over due it because you may cause yourself harm.
